The Programme Caused a Churning in Me – Part IIThe Change Continues.There was something at my office needing correction. I had a colleague who was at the same level as me. Being in corporate office, he always would seek my advice on many issues and he had to follow the guidelines I gave. After some years he left and joined another company only to return later to my company as my reporting manager. This made me envious of him and created a kind of rivalry in my mind. Admitting this to him could put my job at risk and could have ruined my career.

Grampari Residential Program - A Report The Fifth One-month residential program for boys concluded on 30th Nov 2014 for 20 Young boys from nearby villages. Program started with our 14 year old youngest participant Mahesh lighting the lamp. At the end of the program he decided to give up gambling. Our new addition to Vocational training was Plumbing. The Programme Caused a Churning in Me – Part I(Ms Kalpana Dabral (Patil) Writes after returning from a ‘Heart of Effective Leadership’ programme at Asia Plateau)During the entire program and in every session there was a continuous churning happening within me. It’s not because I am an emotional person and became more emotional there. No not at all! I was seeing life from a different angle which I had never seen before, in fact I felt quite strong after it. During the session and quiet time there I had already decided about the correction which I had to do after reaching home.

We did the 2nd round follow-up of officers of Registration and Stamps in Pune at Yashada. 48 Officers from all districts of Maharashtra had come for the meet. A few of them had not been to Asia Plateau whereas most of them had.

All Bodo Students Union (ABSU)Started in 1967 to free the areas of Bodos into a separate entity. All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) is a movement started to bring this change; but soon enough they realized that to build that dream, there is some ground work that needs to be done. Hence ABSU made it their main focus to empower their own people. Over years and after a lot of bloodshed, people realized that violence is not the solution. Rekha Shahani, an old friend of IofC is a trustee and principal of Kamla High School (KHS) Mumbai. She has recently started an initiative for inter-faith and inter-cultural exchange between the students of her school and those of Anjuman-E-Islam Girls High School, Bandra, Mumbai. The medium of study for the latter school is Urdu, whereas that of Kamla High School is English.
