Rajmohan Gandhi gave a speech of honest reflection on the challenges facing peace and reconciliation at a public talk jointly hosted by Initiatives of Change, Faiths Forum for London, the Next Century Foundation and the Guerrand-Hermès Foundation for Peace.

In 2017 the third Caux Scholars class graduated from the program in India. They have written letters back to the Caux Scholars community. They describe what they took away from the program and how they are applying what they learned in their lives now. We share their letters with you.

Asia Plateau, the Initiatives of Change (IofC) international conference centre in Panchgani, India will be 50 years on 20 January 2018. Fifty people are invited to give ‘a year of selfless service’ to reach out in five intergenerational teams, to many corners of India - and beyond. Teams of convinced, and convincing people who help 5000 people put at least one thing right in 2018 to serve society better!

50th year of Asia Plateau and the 10th year of Grampari starts with 350 villagers+150 trainees, volunteers , 10 from Jharkhand and staff thronging for a day long Programme.

Teachers are called ‘nation builders’. If that is true, what sort of nation/world have we built over the years? The most impressionable part of a person’s life is spent in school. This is the time one’s attitudes and values are shaped.

Just down the hill from the Initiatives of Change conference buildings in Panchgani is Grampari, a rural and ecological centre established by Initiatives of Change. As part of his training at Grampari, Victor Nyanhete, an Initiatives of Change / Moral Re-Armament Zimbabwe youth programme coordinator, was introduced to the Tippy Tap.

Michigan State University bestowed upon Rajmohan Gandhi an honorary humanities doctorate in East Lansing, Michigan on 17 December 2016. Professor Rajmohan Gandhi works closely with Initiatives of Change and served as President from 2009-2010. He lectured as a Hannah Distinguished Visiting Professor at Michigan State University during the fall semester and was awarded during the university’s commencement ceremonies.

The first two Peace Circles in Sri Lanka took place in the Northern Province in the first two weeks of September 2016. What synchronicity that while half of the IfL (IofC for Life) group was meeting with surrendered militants in the Garo Hills of North East India, other IfL members were meeting with some war-affected women in Northern Sri Lanka – both groups recovering from the consequences of violence.
