The real strength of IofC India lies in its diverse fellowship: all of us who have been impacted by these ideas and are committed to being a part of a movement of ‘Building Trust Across the World’s Divides”. Last year we had a very meaningful time at the national gathering and this year we hope to build on it to create a more connected national team that can respond to the needs on the ground both within our movement and in the country.
The general elections have just concluded and it has been a defining year as a democracy where divisions within our polity and society have come to the fore, more than ever. The divides that exist in our society are unfortunate and we as a movement have a role to play to bridge them. How can we leave the negativity behind and move forward with a spring in our step both as a movement and as a nation?
The Trust is inviting everyone who is part of the fellowship for a ‘National Gathering’ from 2nd to the 6th of October at Asia Plateau, Panchgani. This gathering is not for newcomers but for everyone who has been involved with the ideas and movement of IofC already and feels committed and responsible for the work of IofC in India.
In this time together we hope to:
- Have time for fellowship and strengthening our own friendships.
- Hear updates on our key activities today and some of the impact of our initiatives.
- Look at the state of the world we live in and a search for our response to it.
We hope all of us can come together for this important gathering to rejuvenate and renew our own community as well as our resolve to be changemakers in the world through IofC ideas and initiatives.
Please plan your arrival at Asia Plateau by lunch time on the 2nd of October and your departure after lunch on the 6th of October. We request participants of the gathering to take care of their travel arrangements and make a contribution towards your stay, guided by your means and convictions.
